FAQ
Reservations are required to guarantee a specific experience and time: while we can occasionally accommodate walk-in groups, we will always prioritize reserved experiences! Visit our Book Now page to make a future reservation or call us at 651-760-3495 for same day availability.
Visit our Book Now page to make a reservation! You can search by location, date, or experience to find the perfect time for your group. You can also click the Book Now button on the page for any room to go directly to the times available for that specific room.
Online bookings can be made as little as an hour in advance, and as much as a month in advance: if you’d like to book something further out, please call us at 651-760-3495 or email us at stpaul@trappedpuzzlerooms.com!
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your booking time. This check-in window offers groups a chance to sign waivers, use the restroom, and get key information from our Game Masters prior to escaping.
Please keep in mind that arriving more than 15 minutes late for a booking may mean we can no longer guarantee your spot: we can help you reschedule your reservation for free with some advance notice though!
No lockpicking tools, crowbars, or boltcutters required!
We encourage you to dress comfortably and for movement: closed-toe shoes are always recommended. While not physically strenuous, our escape rooms sometimes require participants to kneel or crawl. If you use reading glasses in your day-to-day, make sure to bring those along!
There are no age restrictions for our experiences, but be advised that participants under the age of 10 may struggle with some puzzle concepts. We do require reservations with any puzzler aged 16 and under to include a participating adult. Anyone under the age of 18 will need their waiver signed by a parent/guardian.
Keep in mind that small children who are too young to actively participate in our puzzles will not be charged for an additional ticket if a group brings them along for the ride!
All of our experiences are private bookings. Regardless of how many tickets you have purchased, you will only be puzzling with people you know!
Please view the “Accessibility” tab when booking on this site to see specific accessibility details about each room!
We have ways to accommodate most groups — please get in touch with us at stpaul@trappedpuzzlerooms.com if you have specific questions about accessibility and we will be happy to work with you!
None of our rooms are “horror movie” scary, though some of our experiences do have some surprise elements that may briefly startle puzzlers. Our “scariest” experience is Nutcracker Nightmare at our Saint Paul location, but it is cartoonishly spooky and has been enjoyed by puzzlers of all ages. None of our puzzle rooms employ actors, it will always just be you and your group in your room!
Yes! The 74 and A-line buses stop at the intersection of Snelling and Randolph, and we’re a short walk south on Snelling from there.
We offer two rooms with “Beginner Difficulty” levels at our Saint Paul location: Video Game Mayhem & Robot Rampage! The “Beginner Difficulty” version of these rooms is geared towards puzzlers who are 10 – 12 years old, or first-time puzzlers of any age. We always recommend selecting Beginner Difficulty for groups where the majority of participants are younger or first time puzzlers–these are not “Easy” rooms and still require plenty of thinking and teamwork!
